TGUP built an entire new kitchen building to serve the Las Ruinas school. The old kitchen had fallen apart and was unsanitary, unsafe, and unusable. Parents were preparing food for the entire school in their homes. There were no controls over sanitation and this was not a long-term solution to the lack of school kitchen. This add-on project provided the equipment needed for the new kitchen, including an industrial stove, refrigerator, water purifier and dispenser, pots/pans, microwave, etc.
