1 - Dalsinghe School: Classrooms

Nepal, 2008, Education

Project #2 of 403

We built a three-room school in Dalsinghe, 50 kilometers west of Kathmandu. It was the first school of any kind in 120 square kilometers and it serves all the children from 5 villages. Each room is dedicated to teaching one of the educational levels: elementary, middle, and high school, with mixed grades learning at each level.

Nepal, 2008, Education

Project #6 of 403

We bought 20 piglets and goats to save 20 Nepalese girls from being sold into slavery. The families will raise the animals for a year, on kitchen scraps, and then sell them. The money received from selling each pig or goat will be as much as they would have received from selling their daughter. Project funded by CA students.
