TGUP Project - Sewing Center: Training and Setup in Tanzania 2022
Sewing Center: Training and Setup

, , ,

Project # 249 of 272

We worked with Humanity for Children to set up a sewing center in Loibor-Siret, Tanzania to make TGUP’s Save a Girl kits of washable, reusable sanitary supplies. TGUP provided proprietary patterns, a kit assembly manual, and educational training materials. In addition, 2 representatives from our Kenyan partner (Kiini Sustainable Initiative) travelled to Loibor-Siret to train the seamstresses on how to make the kits and school uniforms. The management team was trained on the business knowledge needed to plan, manufacture, and distribute the kits, as well as how to give the education that accompanies every distribution.
