TGUP Project - Stoves for Maasai families: Stoves: Phase 4 in Tanzania 2023
Stoves for Maasai families: Stoves: Phase 4

, ,

Project # 302 of 413

Traditionally, Maasai women cook with an open fire in an unventilated hut made of sticks and mud. This is not only dangerous but unhealthy. 25 children per 1,000 die before the age of 5 from lung problems. We funded 60 low-smoke ventilated stoves for Maasai homes. The stoves are insulated and the chimneys expel the smoke.
